Great Evenings at Jazzistics



An energetic evening for all Latin music lovers as they were entertain by the vibrant Martin Reyes and Friends… spreading the music of Latin Culture in Singapore at Jazzistic Society event on the 5th November 2016.

Jazzistics Society had a special night on New Year’s Eve.  It was a great way to usher in the New Year with fellow musicians, families and friends.

Feb 14 MosaicOn Valentine’s Day Jazzistics had a special evening for family, friends and lovers!

With a free Cuban Salsa workshop and a top notch Latin band, there was plenty of Salsa, Merengue, Bachata etc…and many more fun things happening, There was even hot dogs to munch on and a lucky dip during the evening !





Tea Dances

By popular demand, Jazzistics held its first Tea Dance on Sunday 12th October 2014


No doubt the older generation remember the great Hotel Tea Dances of years gone by and will know what they are all about, but for those who don’t it was great opportunity for socialising, meeting of new and old friends and a wonderfully relaxing evening in a beautiful environment, with live band songs from the ’60’s and ’70’s.Photo

Some came in their best ’60’s look complete with beehives for the ladies and bell-bottoms for the guys and we had a prize for the best dressed couple of the evening!



2nd Musicians Nite – 22nd March 2014

Jazzistics held another musical party to say thank you to all our supportive musicians and Jazzistic members … we had a great get together and it was  another wonderful night. We especially invited bands (young or old, any type of music … except heavy metal!!) which made it like a “new faces” show night so a special thanks to our guest band of young budding musicians (VI).

Also not forgetting Camila,Mike and Micah for their fabulous performance and to all our guests … it was a great turn out and a beautiful night. on behalf of Jazzistic once again a big thank you to all!

Saturday 25th May was a special jam night at Jazzistics for our regular musicians and our special guest performers … two of our vocal students gave us their renditions of “Favourite Things” and “I Don’t Know Why”, backed by Camila, Mike and Micah, followed up by a Belly Dance Show performed by Aliyah, Nahla, Nawal and Nabiha.

On Sunday 17th March Jazzistics hosted a very special night for  musicians to get together and have some fun … it was our way of saying thank you to all and it turned out to be a great night! Around 70 musicians turned up and anything and everything got played … all the way from blues rock, latin beats and pop to chinese songs and jazz standards!



Regi’s Birthday Party

On 16th December Guitarist Regi Leo celebrated his birthday (21 again?!!!) at Jazzistics … anyone and everyone in the world of music in Singapore turned up and all had a great jamming session.

Celebrations at Jazzistics

Throughout 2012 Jazzistics has hosted a number of celebrations and one of the best was on 8th December … organised and MC’d by Luigi for Shalynn and friends to celebrate Christian’s birthday, it was an evening of great latin music, light and dance.

Following on from the birthday party, we also had a “going away” party for Luigi on 13th December … despite the rain, Jazzistics was packed with revellers and dancers and everyone had a great time!









Bollywood Night

There is always something new and different going on at Jazzistics and Saturday 29th September certainly was different … Bollywood Night was an evening full of song, dance, great entertainment and even a fashion show … and the Indian food was fabulous!


Quiz Nite

Monday 16th July was Jazzistics very first quiz nite … ably organised and led by one of Jazzistics leading Members, Paula Rawlins. It was a great evening with five teams taking part from Lorna Whiston Schools and the British Council, who were the eventual winners.

“An Evening with Donne Ray Radford”






Former lead singer of The Platters, Donne gave us a fabulous Concert at Jazzistics on Saturday 9th June 2012. Accompanied by well known Singapore Pianist Benjamin Boo and and our very own Rolland Sandoshan on drums, it was a great evening of wonderful music! There was even a Latin Dance set led by Jazzistics volunteer Dance Instructor Luigi and good fun was had by all!
We look forward to Donne giving us an encore in the not too distant future, so watch this space!



“Dixieland@801” … 22nd April 2012 … featured a big band and, for a change, was a late afternoon event, starting at 4.30 pm. Of course as well as the good music there was the usual top notch makan that Jazzistics has become famous for, and a great evening was had by all !!




Expose … “Play Pretend”

Jazzistics hosted a great evening of musical entertainment in cooperation with Singapore Polytechnic on 28th January 2012 … no less than sixty students from the Diploma in Music and Audio Technology Course performed a variety of different covers and their own original compositions. The evening was part of their course assessment and their first gig in front of a live audience … they were a great bunch of young musicians who performed brilliantly and were a credit to their Instructor Varian and to Erica, the event organiser.



Open House – 10th December 2011

Every Saturday night is an open house night at Jazzistics … but December 10th turned out to be a real good one … Percy, Granville, Edmund and Antony DeSilva and their families and friends all dropped by and so did Arthur Pereira and Herman Gomez … and lots more friends of Jazzistics!

Motown Night

“Motown” Night on 3rd December celebrated the Golden Era of fabulous Tamla Motown music from the ’60s and70s when the singers could really sing and the musicians could really play! Our own live band of excellent musicians and our special guests put on a great show (despite the rain!) and, as always, Jazzistics was the place to find the best makan in town!


Latin Night

Sunday 2nd October was mega-party time again at Jazzistics with an evening of live Latin Fire! Our favourite South American Band all the way from Colombia (via Tanjong Pagar!!!) entertained all evening with their special brand of musical magic! And that wasn’t all … being a latin themed evening everyone came dressed for the part and there were be prizes for the best dressed guests … thanks a lot to Donna and Pinky (Dimac Glam & Glitter – 96824982) for all their help with the costumes!


Flea Market

17th and 18th September – 10.00 am to 6.00 pm Jazzistics held its first Flea Market on 17/18 September … and the grounds of 801 Mountbatten Road were full of stall tables selling all sorts of goodies.




Jazzistics held a special Team Building Workshop on Sunday 4th September to plan a whole series of future events and activities … check out the “What’s On” page and watch that space!!

Everyone rolled up for a really good time with food, fun and fabulous entertainment all evening … plus there were some surprises in store!
